Johnny Van Savage is a passionate sailor who teaches at the Sailing Camp at the Shreveport Yacht Club over the summer. He became interested in this event when some fellow sailors informed him of the race and saw it published in Scouting Magazine. Johnny attended a U-Sail-It, U-Make-It Regatta at the Longview Yacht Club and he knew he had to share it with his community! He is proud to announce that all of the proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of NW Louisiana --this is something he is avid about through volunteering and his love for animals. This event is a lot of fun and should be experienced by all people!
